Once you have signed the contract and ordered your kit, feel free to send an email blast to all of the women in your life. Let them know what it is you are doing and ask your more creative friends and family members to step forward as hostesses for you. As hostesses, they can expect a credit for 10% of their party's sales plus a $5 credit for each guest that schedules another party while at theirs. Add these credits together and that's how much free jewelry your hostess can make on the day of her party. This is your business, so feel free to add a Grand Opening promotion for your initial hostesses only (an additional free pair of earrings, 1/2 off two items, a free bracelet...). Be as generous as you wish. These initial hostesses will set the foundation to your future success.
You may wish to find a calculator to help you figure up sales tax and a purse calendar or planner to write all family and business events into. Everything else is included in the starter kit, even the plastic and paper bags we use to deliver the jewelry to the hostess in.
