Bio:
I am so excited to be the first DBY consultant in Washington State! We have been stationed in this beautiful state for two years. I am a proud Army wife to my husband, Keith. He is currently serving a 15-month tour in Iraq. We have 2 beautiful children, our son Kameron (4) and new baby girl Caitlyn (born in June 07). We also have a great family dog, Bama. (Can you guess what state I’m from?)
I found this company because I was looking for a different and exciting business to bring into the homes of other women while also making an extra income for my family. I’m so excited to get my new business started and can’t wait to meet and make new friends.
Specializing In:
I consider my hospitality and friendly manner a specialty when it comes to a home party. My desire is for my hostess and her guests to feel welcomed and to come away from the party having had a fun and exciting jewelry-making experience.
Hostess tips:
At the request of my hostess I have a table that I can bring to the party to ensure that all of her guests have a design area.
A hostess may request no children at the party. However, if children will be at the party, I request that there be a special place for the children to play and someone to watch them. This way, mom can truly have a night out with the girls and be able to focus on having a great time designing her special pieces.
As a hostess, it is important to remember to call each guest that you invited (not just the ones who RSVP) at least one day prior to the party. Tell them how excited you are to have them over to your home and are looking forward to getting their opinions on your jewelry designs. This encourages them to attend your party and also helps you to earn free jewelry!
Favorite party snack or drink:
I truly believe in keeping it simple at a DBY party. Water and a simple punch or juice is great for drinks. Finger foods that are easy to make, easy to eat, and easy to clean are recommended. Snacks that I like to have are chips and dip, a fruit or vegetable tray, and something chocolate.
