Hi, my name is Colleen Selmi, and I’m excited to be part of the DBY team. I live in Livonia with my husband Scott and 3 children, Ryan (6), Sean (4) and Erin (2), and will service the Metro-Detroit and surrounding areas. I’m a “stay at home mom" and enjoy it very much.
I had never been to a Designed By You in-home party, but I was very intrigued by a bracelet-watch a friend of mine made at a party she attended. So, I went to the website and spent a couple of hours browsing, reading and was instantly hooked! That’s when I decided to become a Jewelry Design Consultant. I’m happy I did!

Review your guest list one day before your party to determine who has not called in their RSVP. Contact each friend you have not heard from to remind them of the party and ask them if there is any way they can arrange to attend. Let them know that you would love to have them there to make jewelry with them. This simple phone call can make the difference in their busy lives by giving them another chance to agree to a little “girl time” fun. Once you have the final count, just give me a call to let me know how many you are expecting at the party.
Favorite party snack or drink:
I’d have to say that a good old fashion fruit punch is my favorite drink. You only need a few ingredients and some sherbet.
