Hi my name is Renée Van De Ven. I am a stay at home mom who loves being crafty. I have two beautiful children that I adore, Skylar and Drew.
I attended one DBY party and had so much fun that I just had to sign up! Since I enjoy being creative, joining the DBY family is perfect for me. I get to meet new people and help create some amazing jewelry. DBY provides me with an income so that I can stay home with my kids. Charity is another reason I am so happy to be a part of the DBY family. I love helping charities and other organizations raise money. If you have a cause, please give me a call. Hostess tips:
Mother bracelets are extremely popular and lots of fun to make. As your friends RSVP for your party, ask them if they would like to make one. If they do, simply get the correct spelling of all names they wish to have on their bracelet. Let me know the names beforehand, and I will bring the silver alphabet cubes and supplies that are needed for your friends to make exactly what they want!
A hostess may request no children, but I do not have a problem with this. We would rather have Mommy arrive with her baby than not at all. If your friends are bringing children, see what you can do about having an older child keep tabs on them in a separate room.
Snacking Suggestions:
Please don’t feel like you need to have gourmet food out as you entertain your friends at a DBY show. I say the easier the better and nothing messy. Remember to keep it simple…maybe chips and salsa, a veggie tray, or (every woman’s favorite) chocolate in any shape, size or form! YUM!
