Frequently Asked Questions

Do you supply the same beads to every party?

Yes and no. Most of our beads are natural and therefore vary in color, size and availability. We carry a variety of beads, above and beyond that which you see at your party. The individual Design Consultant's kits will vary according to their personal taste. Bottom line, if you see something you like, grab it! It may not be at the next party.

How long does a party last?

Parties run approximately 3 hours. The consultant may be there longer for setup and packing up. 

Can I bring my kid(s)?

As a rule, always check with your hostess to see if there is someone available to watch them. You will be busy talking, laughing and making jewelry.

What if I don't know enough people?

No problem. Call one of your girlfriends and ask her to co-host a party with you. This solution splits the work in half and doubles the size of your guest list.

How much advanced notice do I need to give?

3 weeks is preferred to give you time to get your guest list together and for your Design Consultant to send out your invitations.

Do you accept credit cards?

Designed By You accepts Mastercard, Visa and American Express, however our Design Consultants are independent and may not.

How much does it cost?

Prices start at $9.99. As a hostess, you will receive a credit based on your party sales & bookings. Please ask your DBY Design Consultant for details.

How many people should I invite?

If you invite 20 people, you can usually expect 10 to 12 to attend. If you want to have a larger party or something a little more intimate please contact your Design Consultant so she can discuss the options with you.
