Frequently Asked Questions

How do I decide what to make?

Before the party, we suggest that you look through your jewelry and find all of the necklaces that you have no earrings for. Set them aside and bring them to the party with you. Put your necklaces out on your bead design board at the party and bring them with you when you go up to gather your beads. Choose beads that match your necklaces, and make a pair of earrings to match every necklace you can. In this way, you minimize your bead options to what matches your necklaces and maximize the benefit this party affords you. For each pair of earrings you make, you end up with another coordinating set of jewelry that you can now wear regularly. Check your closet to see which suits or outfits you might like to make matching jewelry for. Set them aside and bring them with you to use when picking out beads for your jewelry.

Other suggestions for deciding what to make are check to see which friends or relatives have a birthday coming up, also think about what holidays are coming up. This is an excellent opportunity to make someone a mother’s bracelet, grandmother bracelet, birthstone earrings, a Mother’s Day gift or a birthday present.

Do I have to send out invitations?

No. Your Designed By You Consultant will be happy to send them out for you. Just supply her with the names and addresses on your guest list and she will take it from there. We do ask that you follow up with a phone call to any guests who did not RSVP, to see if they are coming.

Do we get to take the jewelry we design home with us that night?

No, it takes time and attention to finish off several items of jewelry. This amount of time and attention is not possible the night of the party.

How long will it take to get the jewelry back?

Finished items will be returned to the hostess or sent off in the mail to her within three days unless other arrangements have been made with the hostess.
